Do you like to hunt from a stand, on the ground, or spot and stalk? To me it's anything that gets me out into the woods. But, what's your favorite?

Still hunting is the way I like to go! Last year I covered about 1/2 mile in an hour and a half and felt likeI was running around like crazy. I got a deer in spite of myself. Spot and Stalk is a lot of fun especially out west, but nothing bears slow and easy.

same here. If you have access to the right territory, spot and stalk is a heck of a rush.

that can be quite enjoyable. Sunday, I woke up with 3 does and a six point all within about 40 yards of me, but they waved bye-bye before I was alert enough to make a shot.

I did a lot of spot and stalk in Alaska and on a Pronghorn hunt in Wyoming. I think the easiest is Caribou hunting from a snowmobile. A Polaris and a sled makes carrying the meat out a lot easier.

Now your talking about a dream hunt. I'd love to get a chance at a big caribou.
How did your antelope and caribou hunts turn out?

redmist, I have taken 6 or 7 caribou on different hunts. I lived in Alaska for about 8 years. They are some excellent food. I shot Three antelope on a hunt in Wyoming. We warmed up for the hunt by chasing Does around Laramie. Then we went out by Gillette and I shot a respectable 13 " buck. I did take one bull Caribou that would qualify for Safari Club. Never had it officially scored but it looks great on the wall. I tell people it is an east texas whitetail and they look at me funny. I would sure love to go back up there and shoot a few more caribou or to wyoming and hunt pronghorns again. Maybe when I get some medical bills paid off.
