Did anyone else go to the public hearings held by the wildlife dept? One of the changes they are purposing is to only allow two bucks to be taken in all three seasons. They are trying to allow younger bucks more chance of survival. In one area in the southwest they are doing an experimental zone of one buck only .I think it will help.

We did not go to the hearings but a friend told me about the proposals. I think it will do wonders for the Size of the bucks we take in the following seasons. It could be really awesome hunting around here in 3 yrs or so.

It seemed to be divided with public land hunters being against the change and land owners/leasers for it.I am glad they are taking steps to improve herd quality not just quantity.

i am all for it it has a chance of increasing crop size and less deformities in the future crops due to inbreeding so it sounds like a good thing to do
