I got drawn in at Pushmataha this year for the first time. I was very pleased with the way that they done the hunt. Most of the time they just want you to check it in and then leave but the facilities that they have there are Number 1. They have places to hang and skin the deer, If it was raining they had an indoor place to skin and quarter the deer. When you were finished skinning your deer they also have a freezer for the deer. That way you can leave it in there until you are ready to go home at the end of the hunt if you have friends that are still hunting. They also had really nice shooting ranges I would like to know the best place that you have visited in Oklahoma on public hunting areas?

Drew a rifle hunt at Okmulgee GMA for this weekend. Did some scouting a couple of weeks ago. Lots of deer sign. Looking forward to a good weekend.

Thats Great! I have never hunted Okmulgee before. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and see lots of deer. Is it a either- sex tag?

Kaw WMA is nice for rifle season because of the very long shots. I got a doe at 248 yards there with a muzzleloader. My longest powder gun shot ever.

I had just gotten it. All the literature said it's capable of 2 inch groups a 250 yards with a 150 grain magnum load.
