Had a good day.. ended up with 5 biggest was a boar around 150lbs.. all the others were under 100lbs.. could still be chasin them If we woulda stayed.. just really hot and we ran our butts off.. dogs had a really big one bayed up down in the tamaracks that was really close to us it just wouldnt stay bayed, then they got on other little ones.. there's a big one down there too, we seen some really huge tracks.. first boar we got.. we kept him alive for a while till we figured out his front leg was broken... me and a friend I took with me.. hauling the little ones back.. check out the pig sign in the background.. I didnt get pictures of the other three pigs.. we killed all of them with knives.. there gonna be some tasty little ones..

yea, just quarter and bone em out, my uncle helps us butcher he was a butcher at ralphs packing in perkins for over 10 years..

Nice piggies. That's the only way we used to hunt them. It was a heck of a rush. Now I don't have much time so I take a different approach.

redmist, how do you hunt them, do you still hunt them or, just push and drive them to people.. we have walked the brush out hunting them that way before and had some success.. just curious on how u killing them now..

My pig area has a hill that allows me to see over a half a mile in every direction. If I have my big gun I take them from there. If not it's spot and stalk. Haven't got to the area in about 2 months, though.

we hunt river bottom, and find the thickest tamaracks, johnson grass etc. and go there and sneak through..kinda like pheasant hunting.. we went today without and got into them, ended up with one, they scattered on us really quick..walked our butts off though

I just recently got access to a river bottom with lots of piggies. Haven't got a chance to check out the area yet, but it looks promising.
