I will post the pics while he skins the deer then let him fill yall in on the details when he can....
Lane and I have been hunting together for a couple days now. We have been seeing alot of deer. Thurs night we had a doe come in and a buck chasing her. Lane got the gun ready and I grunted at the buck to make him stop. I had to do it really loud because he was very busy!! Lane took the shot but we could not find any blood or the deer so, We decided to go back this morning. We had a doe come out into the huge field we are watching around 300yrds. We were looking for a buck behind her but we never saw one come out behind her. She kept looking toward the south and I thought that was kinda weird so I started scanning the area and sure enough The buck we ended up taking was bedded down 250 yrds in front of us in the tall weeds. He stood up to look at the doe and I saw his rack sticking up. It was way to far for lane to take the shot and I could not let the buck go away unscaved. I pulled my rifle up put it on him but could not take the shot because of some limbs in the way. So I had to wait for the deer to make a move. He ended up walking 220 yrs into an opening and I took the shot. I am shooting a .223 TC.Encore. I squeezed the trigger and boom the buck fell straight to the ground it was a really nice shot. That is the furthest I have ever shot a deer from. Lane and I were really excited he saw the buck drop. We have been having a ball hunting together. We are gonna go again tomorrow and some sunday before and after church. So, Lane can harvest his first Buck!!!
