Just found out the state is opening up the fist open Antelope season for archery in Cimarron Co. and in part of Texas Co. Still not real clear on if you can hunt on the public land in Cimarron Co. or if you have to go on private property. When you read the regulations on the WMA in that area it reads the you must get drawn for the controlled hunt tag to hunt the pronghorn in that area. But according to the news release on the wildlife department web site for the new open season you should be able to hunt them there. The season is starting September 14 I hope to go and try my luck as soon as I figure out where I can hunt. I may purchase a trespassing permit from one of the land owners in the area and go about it that way.
