Nothing this weekend, saw a nice doe and fawn at 125 yards, then saw the big boy at about 45 yards, unfortnuately I didn't have a bow with me then, was taking my son on a 4-wheeler ride at the time. But always good to know he is around.

Boy, the look in his eyes says it all! I bet he was excited. Cole, my son, is only 18 months old, but he already goes on scouting trips with me! Can't wait to actually hunt with him.

Got a doe the last weekend of blackpowder season. Had her in my sights, pullled the trigger and heard a POP...then bang! Thought I flinched during the delay. Fortunately didn't though. Hit her where I aimed but it really made my think "Oh, crap!"

Harvested this 7 point on the 11th, It was 79 degrees and 25mph winds that night, shot him at 17 yards, he ran 40 yards and pilled up, I was using a Mathews outback, 100gr Muzzy 3 blade.. gold tip shafts.. buck came out with his nose to the ground folowing a drag trail that I put out the morning before.. it was like i had him on a string..
