Many states have these for non-rezs to encourage the take of more antlerless deer. What do you think? Should OK have this in place? I am only talking about reducing the price for non-rez doe tag here.
Think it would help harvest more does, especially in zone 2 where the population obviously needs to be reduced.

I took advantage of the Reduced price Antelope Doe/Fawn Tags in Wyoming about 12 years ago and hope to go back in a couple of years and do it again. I think the idea has merit but what is the draw?

Well for me it would be my wife. We are non-rezs, but I have a lifetime she does not. Currently it is too expensive for her to hunt deer with me, this would make it affordable.
I am sure there are many Okies that come home over thanksgiving and would take advantage of reduced price doe tags.

Elkstalker,
I too live outside of OK but hunt with a lifetime license. I hadn't thought about the wife but it makes sense.

I had to finish off another spike today at work. We need to harvest more animals to keep them from being a menace. Since res. hunters aren't taking enough, seems to be a good idea to reduce prices for non res. hunters. Besides, then I get to read stories and see pictures of all of your kills.

I'm a Tribal Police Officer
I see at least 2 vehicle vs. deer accidents per week. Luckily enough I don't have a problem finding someone around here that doesn't mind fresh road kill, so at least the meat doesn't go to waist. I've hit 4 in the last 3 years while on duty.
I'm also one of 2 officer's in our department that wrote a Wildlife Conservation Code for the tribe. It will be implimented as soon as the Council enacts it. As for now, the other officer is in training and I handle most conservation interdictions.
props to your wife. That's a great gift.

Talked to my Dad this weekend while we were not seeing any deer at Lexington. My boss saw 5 but couldn't get a shot at any. My Cousin is head of security at the Casino out by Newkirk. He is a big blond haired, blue Eyed Cherokee Indian. If you htink you might know him send me a PM. I don;t like using names on public forums.
