Killed this buck on Halloween at about 4:15 pm. Made a bad shot, a little too far back, and wasn't able to find it before I had to go home and help get the kids costumes ready. I found it this morning.

Thanks
I would like to tell you about how I stalked him through heavy timber, through valleys, and across open fields or how I sat in a stand and watched him chase does past me several times before finally giving me a shot, but I can't. What really happened was me deciding to go make a walk through on a couple of wood lines on the lease and be back at the house within an hour to help get the kids ready to go trick-or-treating. I parked and walked about a hundred yards down the edge of a field and turned to walk down a drive to another field. When I turned the corner he was standing in the drive about 40 yards away. I fired a shot about the time he took off running and hit him to far back. I wasn't able to find him before having to leave and had to work all night after taking the kids out. After I got off work at 8:00 Saturday morning Thecoleman and I were able to find him. Only took about 15 minutes. He dressed out at 162 pounds.

Good luck. I got a video of a big 10 with some character from the road on one of the places Apex hunts. I'm standing on my tool box in the middle of the road snort wheasing and agressively grunting. He stiffens up and postures straight at the truck for over two minutes, then chases the doe off the other way.

It's okay, I don't mind being beat by a buck like his.
