General turkey hunting strategy. Either put them to bed the night before and set up fairly close to the roost, or go to a place where you know there are turkeys, get there before daylight, sound a locator call, and set up where they answer from.

I get near roost areas and listen before daylight.. Then it all depends on you knowing where the birds want to be... call sparingly at them when they're in the tree, once they fly down be patient, those hens will come and investigate the stranger they heard that wasnt there last night when they flew up..
you get a longbeard on the roost by himself or with a couple hens, fire him up then shut up and make him come find you..
use decoys too..
