I killed this one on the second day of rifle season with a .243 as I was getting up to go home. Stood up because I heard a noise and thought it was my father in law coming to get me from my spot and all I seen was antlers. He never seen me so I raised the gun and shot him as he was walking away. He dropped straight to the ground. No tracking on this one! He weighed 148 dressed and is a 10pt.

Nice deer, congrats!
That is a similar story as to how I got mine during black powder. Stood up from where I was sitting and there he was. Do not have any digital pics, but will try and scan the ones I have. Although, mine does not even come close to the one you have hanging.

I can testify!
The steaks from it were great - right off the grill!
Come to think of it - they were the best I have ever had!
Tnx again !
