I've hand grabbed before, but the term"noodling" is new to me. We always called it "grabbing"

surprised you haven't heard the term. It's an old redneck term. People in Missouri where I used to live call it "hoggin"

Arkansas regulations define grabbling, hogging and noodling as different techniques. Which term applies depends on wether you use hands, hooks or ropes. My goal in fishing has always been for a fisherman out of the water to coax or pull a fish out of the water. Me getting in the water is called swimming.

Point taken, but it's still a rush.
Oklahoma regulations allow for hands only. Hooks and/or ropes are prohibited.
