Any of you guys ever try snagging below Lake Hudson? It is on the Grand River and closer to my home in NW Arkansas. I've seen a few snagged out of there while people were fishing for other species. They all kind of treated them like a trash fish.

heck ya, i dunno whats holding anyone back, they start making their run around the end of february and when the waters down they get trapped in various holes in the river and are stacked in there by the hundreds, when the waters flowing around 2,000 to 3,000 cfs they'll be in those holes, you can catch 60-100 pound fish every cast till dark if you want.. ya also gotta find the right holes too.. last year a friend of mine seen one weighed on a deer scale that went 120, woulda prolly been the new state record if they woulda got it to a warden quicker..

I might be in Ponca CIty for Good Friday and Easter. How hard is this place to find? I know how to get to Kaw Dam, where do we go from there?

there's a boat ramp on the east side of the dam that is usually good, and some places down stream a ways from there.. just make sure you're 1000' from the dam itself when you're snaggin'..
