The hog that attacked me in my front yard

I was unloading some grocery I had picked yesterday when a 80 lbs hog came running out from underneath the truck that was parked in my drive way and took my legs out. I didn't know what had happened. The only thing I knew was I was laying on my back in the mud. After I got up I realized I had just came face to face with a little boar with a bad attitude. After realizing this I picked up my son and nephew put them back in the car. About that time I seen the hog was ready for round two. Well after he chased me around the front yard and back into my house like a dog chasing a chicken around the yard and back into the hen house I was starting to get a little pissed. So after being whooped two time by that hog I decided to take round three upon my self. I went to the bedroom got the .270 walked back out side and told that hog he had messed up know. Would you believe that looked at me grunted and took off on a dead run for the woods. But he forgot one thing that a .270 round moves alot faster then he could. So after a long fight with a 80 lbs hog in my front yard and a sore leg got some bacon for the freezer. I guess only I can get in a fight with a wild pig in my yard.

no doubt that would be hilarious, must be alot of pigs in your area for them to be in your yard..

you live west of 4 corners somewhere??

There are alot of pigs out their. I live two mile south of four corners and a mile west. Deer time keeps a lot of game in the area. I can tell you one thing that hog meant business my leg is still sore.

Yeah, he's lucky enough to live on property that is surrounded by Deer Time Ranch on 3 sides. I'm sure he hates that.

I think about it every day when I look out the door and see them big long beards about 80 yards from the house. Its ruff.

haha that's awesome.. I got a friend of mine that has a hog on his wall that came from behind the Carney cemetary about 8-9 years ago.. and no my friends name is not Paul either.. lol its a huge black boar.. 300+

There's no stopping the hogs around there.... did that buck you shot last season come off your place that borders the Deer Time???

Good thing you said your friend wasn't Paul lol I would have asked. Yea that boy I got last year was off of the property behind my house. they say he is in the 170s. Will know his true score when I pick him up next week.

I thought he was close to 170 , his threes are long as hell..

That was the only part of his rack I could see and his main beams be for I took the shot.

If your friends name was Paul, then a couple of us would have already stopped talking to you. Don't care much for the man myself.

I have never met the guy and I dont like him, just heard alot of things about him, and I dont want to be asociated with him...

That's good. He thinks he knows every thing about hog hunting.

If i see his dogs on any property that I hunt on he will be going home without them. He has no respect for the property he is on at all. He tore up Steelforces front yard once, and lied to him about just wanting to go to the back and get his dogs.

I remember that i was pissed. Took 4 hours to get them ruts out of my yard.
